Ellen's Sewing Passion

  I was so Happy with my  Pink Linen Jacket  that I wanted to use the pattern over again! I had to squees out all the parts since I only bought 1,5m and the fabric was only 1,2m wide. The back panels are stitched together. Then I made the pocets for the front panels. The fake pockets for the upper part are stitched together - with "HOPE" Then the front- and the back-part are stitched together. I tried to make the collar with a smile :)  The collar are stitched to the back and then turned to the inside. I have used microsatin for the lining. I kept one of the side seams open for turning. The cuffs are stitched in place after the lining is made. This is the finish for the waist line. I visited my lovely aunt 🌸 I have used pattent button (denim buttons).   The kids love to wear jersey! I had a bit left of this print jersey after I made a shirt for a boy, so I couldn't let it go. I think it was nice to combine the fabric with red viscose jersey for a girl💖 At first, I stitched the top together, and then gathered the skirt for the dress.  I made bias around the neck of the same fabric. She loves the Ugly-bird fabric as well :) The dress is rather wide for the skirt, but thats nice. I didn't have to make an opening at the back since the fabric is stretchy. I found the pattern in an old Burda for Kids. This is a picture of the long sleeve shirt I made earlier.

I don't know how many times I have used this pattern, but like it a lot! The fabric I had left after making the  Dress for Holiday  was exactly enough to make this Tee. I stitched the shoulder- and the side seams. The facing is iron with vliseiline, and I have used the serger around the edges. I stitched the facing on the right side, and then I stitched very close to the seamline, so it should stay in place. Then I fold the facing to the inside. The short sleeves are very cool.  I stitched the sleeves together and turn the hem to the inside, and stitched them with the coverlock. The shoulders are gathered, and I have used a ribbon to keep the gathering in place. As a finish, I stitched around the neck. The skirt is from an earlier project . BurdaStyle pattern 03/2022

I found this fabulous jersey at  Stoffdronning.no and guess who fell in love with it 😁 Instead of sewing a seam for a split at the back, I decided to make a split with a button. Then I stitched a bias around the neck, and turned it to inside, and top-stitched. The sleeves are made of double layer, and they are gathered at the top layer. The sleeves are stitched in place. - and the dress is finished. I made a hook for the button.
