Sparkling Stripes!

Image
I bought this sparkling jersey in Copenhagen! I thought it would be a great choice for a young girl. I had to stitch the sides together before the hem. I have used vliseline for the facing. The hem for the cap-sleeves are stitched as well. I stitched the seam at the front, and stitched the edges to each side for the draw-string. Then I stithced the facing in place, and top-stitched around the square neck before stitching the cap-sleeves in place. She loves jumping on the trampoline :) BurdaStyle #125 05/2024

Flowery Dress 🌸💮🌸

I made this flowery dress at the end of the summer and I love this beautiful viscose fabric🌺 I have tried the pattern once before when I made the Royal Copenhagen Dress and I like the style very much with the fluffy skirt and the neck-band. Last time I made the dress without sleeves, but this time I had enough fabric :) I started with stitching the front parts together. I stitched the inserts for the back panels. The shoulder- and the side seams are stitched together, and I also gathered the bottom of the front panels.  Then I stitched the tie around the neck, and stitched the facing around the neck. The waistband are stitched to the top. I stitched the flounces to the sleeves, and stitched the sleeves in place. I folded the pleats in place and gathered the skirt. To make the zipper match on both side, I cut notches where the zipper are going to meet.  The zipper are in place, and I hand-stitched the hem. Viscose fabric falls very nicely and it's delicious to wear. I'm very h...

Japanese handbag #7

Image
This is a pattern that I really wnated to try! I like this style of handbag because it's perfect when travelling,  and then you have space for a lot of things.  For making the sides stiff enough I have used thick paper,  and I just made a template and cut it out. I made a pocket with zipper for one side of the lining, and a bigger and a smaller for the other side. I decorated the zipper with some nice charmes. I also made a pocket for the outside with a magnetic snap button. I have used red piping and I also decorated one side with some silk-band.  I bought a Japanese Handbag-book when visiting Japan :) I made the handbag to match with my outfit💓

Girl's Top & Pants 💞

I wanted to make some comfortable clothes for our sweet granddaughter, and found this flowerful jersey in my stash. The top has raglan sleeves. I combine the flower fabric with pink jersey around the neck  and as a finish for the sleeves. Ottobre Kids 01/2024 I decided to make a pair of pants to match the top. The pants have front pockets. I have used ribbon at the waist, and the hem is stitched with a double needle. Ottobre Kids 01/2024
