Tuck Drape Shorts

Image
I wanted to challenge my self and try a new pattern style! I have the 3 Japanese Drape-Drape books from Hisako Sato which are very interesting.  The pattern are rather big since it has a lot of draping and pleats. The shorts looks very nice with the draping of the sides. It has rubber-band at the hem of the legs. Then you also can pull the legs up and use it as a mini-skirt 😉 The  Top with Heads  is from an earlier project. Pattern from Drape Drape 3 by Hisako Sato. 😅😅😅

Girl's Summer Dress 🌸

This is my niece 4 years old daughter 💕 She is adorable and looks very Happy in her new dress with butterflies🦋   Jersey is perfect for kids and it's easy to move and dance ♫♪ I have combined the colorful jersey with a plain pink jersey which most of the girls like :) The pattern is from BurdaStyle 01/2020. The dress has low waist and I made short sleeves for summer 🌞 She is already a great model!   BurdaStyle #132 01/2020

Blouse with Flounce 💙

Image
This is another blouse pattern that I love! I have used cotton voile that is delicious to wear in summertime ☼ It's best to use a light weight fabric when you are making a flounce, but for this kind of flounce you also need to have a fabric with two good sides. The flounce will be facing on the wrong side.  I have use small zig-zag stitches closely to the hem of the flounce. The sleeves are hemmed before sewing them to the front and back panels. It's a rather easy blouse to make. I have omitted the ties since I didn't have enough fabric. I have made another  Integrated Flounce Blouse  of the same pattern earlier. BurdaStyle #109 05/2017

Dress with Flounces!

Image
I bought this delicious Silk Georgette in St Petersburg and have saved it for the right pattern. Now, when I saw this dress in BurdaStyle June magazine, I knew it was the right moment to use it!  It's an easy pattern, but when you use such delicate fabric you have to carefully cut it out. There is a slit at the back of the neck with a button. I like the low shoulders with the flounce.  I had to hand-stitch the hem of the flounces so it should be nice.   Well, I'm happy with the outcome and I'm wearing the dress for the first time  together with friends in my hometown Haugesund ☼  BurdaStyle pattern #108 06/2020 This photo is taken when we celebrated our son's Birthday 🎉

Refashion & Blue shades

My good friend and lovely model Torunn 😍 I wanted to try something new and cut these two sweaters like a curve. I have used the navy-blue sleeves together with the light blue top. Since these sweaters are knitted garments I had to iron vlieseline on the curved seam  before sewing them together.  The navy sweater is turned up-side-down to wear as a skirt for the dress. I have used invisible rubber-band at the waist to keep the shape.      We had a lot of fun during the photo-session and took a selfie too 😄
