After I made this Wrap Dress for my good friend I decided to make another one for me as well. I came a cross this fabulous jersey and thought "This is IT!" BurdaStyle pattern #110 03/2021
My heart is beating...! 😅 The heart is drawn on the front part. A seperate heart is cut with 3D-lines. The 3D heart is sewn on the top. I'm drawing the stripes on the body and the heart before the pattern is cut a part. All the pieces are sewn together, and the heart is taking shape. I decided to make the backpart fitting the stripes for the front part. It's important to match the notchs when sewing the parts together. It's also important to iron the pieces in the right direction as shown on the pics. The backparts are finished. I have made a hi-low skirt for the dress. I have used padding to make the heart stay in place.
It's always Fun to try a new pattern, and this was no exception! I thought the dress looks very wide on the model in the BurdaStyle magazine, and therefore I decided to make a belt as well. I like the flounce around the neck and the shoulder-straps. I'm sure this will be a great dress for holiday! ☼ I have used cotton voile as lining, and then it feels fluffy to wear.
