Colorful Dress for holiday🌞

Image
Our son and I are haveing a break in Lodz in Poland. This is a fabulous jersey that I stumbled over on the web 😆 It was perfect to make a knotted dress that I like very much. I have made a Similar dress  for Cecilie earlier. I cut the dress with short sleeves that was great for summertime. I omitted the zipper at the back since the jersey are rather stretchy. The dress has interts at the back, and the knot at the waist makes it very flattering. Me and my husband at lunchtime💕 BurdaStyle pattern #118 03/2020

Hi-Low-hem Blouse!

Image
I have made a shirt of this wonderful cotton fabric that I got from my mother 💚 I have used my Favorite blouse pattern from BurdaStyle that I have tried several times before. My last version is a Blue Flower Blouse .  All the parts are cut and ready to sew. The hem is stitched before sewing the side seams. You have to make button holes before stitching the facing to inside. The collar is stitched and turned before sewing the collar-stand.   I have stitched the collarstand all around and catching the inner seam as well. Then the sleeve has to come. My Cigarette pants are from an earlier project. I have also stitched all around the cuffs. You can see the blouse hem from the side. The pleats are turned towards the middle of the back panel. Pleated Neck Dress!

This is a dress that I'm very Happy with! 😉 I've had the pattern for a while, but I needed the right fabric to make it! I have used my favorite color in a soft viscose fabric bought at  Lysthuset.no I started with making the pleats for the front panel, and sewing it together with the back parts and then the facing for the neck. The back parts have small pleats as well, and the sleeves have shoulder incerts. The pleats are in place together with the facing,  and I have stitched around the neck close to the seam. I have omitted the pockets, but I made a belt as in the instruction. The dress is very flattering with the inserts at the back. BurdaStyle Pattern #102 03/2016

Printed Palmtree Dress 🌴

I've had this pattern for a while, and now I found the time to try it! It's from Stitch & Sew, a German magazine and I have used linen fabric  bought at  Rainbow Fashion . I made a  Blazer  for my son last summer of the same fabric. I started to make the bustier top. It thought it looks rather big, but when I stitch it together it was all right. The back part has quare neck that I really like. It was a bit tricky to make the pleats for the skirt, but I manage and this is how they are both in front- and the back of the skirt.  I have sewn the pleats together at the top. At last I made the belt that is aprox 4 cm wide with tie to turn around the waist and knot. I'm Happy how the dress turned out 😊 Stitch & Sew pattern 1/2011
