Ellen's Sewing Passion

I wanted to surprise my good friend with this sweater 🧡 I have used wool fabric from  Janus.no  and I wanted to make special sleeves. I cut the sleeves with exstra wide for gathering at the hem close to the double kuffs that I made. I have used this pattern as basic for the sweater.  

I was wearing my new dress for the first time when we visited Lodz in Poland. I love jersey since it's stretchy and it's very comfy to wear on holiday.  The dress has empire waist with a knot in front.  I have gathered the shoulders a bit and I have stitched a rubber-band at the sleeve hem.  The front is double stitched and sewn to the left side. Then the right side is put through the opening and the knot is stitched to the sides.   The top is stitched together with the skirt. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders and a rubber-band is stitched close to the sleeve hem. At the beach in Mielno. Simplicity pattern 10/2013 Lunch at Manefaktura.

Happy Boy's needs Happy Shirts 😄 I bought this fabric to make a dress for our 50 years jubilee at the company  where we had the  Jubilee Catwalk .  Unfortunately the fabric didn't arrive in time, so therefore I made a shirt for these boys! I also made a  Birthday Shirt  for our son of the same fabric. Ottobre Kids pattern 04/2013

 This is a fabric I found in a local fabric shop in my city Haugesund. I love this kind of blue color and it's so refreshing! I wanted to use a pattern that I really like, and I have made a  Red Dress with Collar   earlier, and also a  Denim Dress  of the same pattern. This time I have top-stitched the pleats, and I think it was a good idea. If you look closer for the short sleeves, you will see the special pleats at the shoulders.  My husband and me on our holiday. Pattern from Meine Namode 04/2011.

  I made a summer top for this lovely girl 😍 I was lucky to have a piece lerft of this wonderful fabric  after I made the  Square neck Dress  for myself. This is a great pattern for a top with short sleeves for a girl. I found the pattern in Burda easy Kids 01/22. The neck- and the waist band are bought at  Selfmade Burda Easy Kids 01/2022
