Cow-neck Top

Cowl-neck is a great detail for a top! I have used the upper part of a pattern for a jumpsuit that I like very much :) I think my sister in law suits it very well 💖 Patrones magazine 324/2013

Dress with Printed Letters!

Image
I love fabric with printed letters!  - That is one of my favorites! This is the same pattern as I used for the  Dress with Green Shades First I cut all the parts.  I have made facing to use around the neck, and I iron vliseline on these parts. I stitched the front and back darts at first, but then I realize that the front darts  should be stitched together with the folding fabric around the sleeves. I made the "fake" pockets for the skrit, and I'm not sure if I will use buttons as decoration as well. I thought I would make the dress without lining so I made bias strips  of the same fabric to stitch around the armholes. Afterwords I had to make lining anyway since the fabric was white. I had to stitch the double layer of fabric to the top at first, and then stitch the other pieces to the open armholes. The hem is hand-stitched, and this is how I lay the fabric to sew it nicely. Knotted Sleeves Top 👓

This is a great top for my sister in law 💛 The sleeves are made of dobble layer and knottet. I chose to use yellow as lining for the sleeves and as bias around the neck, and I think it was a great match for the printed fabric. She suits the top very well, and I think she looks Happy to wear it😊 BurdaStyle pattern #118 06/2019

Heaven full of Stars ⭐⭐⭐

I made a pyjamas for this lovely boy, but it's a great playing suit as well :)  It's based on pattern from Ottobre Kids that is easy to make. Ottobre kids pattern 04/21

Black & White 🖤🤍

This is  an easy dress I have made of net-jersey with black bias around the neck and armholes. I have used narrow zig-zag stitches for the hem so it flowes nicely. The fabric is bought at Alfatex.de  and it very soft and delicious to wear. I found the pattern in an old Bonnie magazine from when I started my sewing :)   My sister in law suits the dress very well 💖 Pattern from Bonnie 02/1996

Sleeve with Elastic

Image
I like to use leftovers, and this was exactly enough fabric to make a top! I had to make the back part in three pieces,  but since the fabric was with different pattern it didn't matter. I have used invisble 5mm elastic to gather the shoulders at the top of the seam. The pattern is from Ottobre magazine 2/12. Together with my lovely sister in law 🌸
