  I learned how to make an origami tailored collar when I attend the origami course hosted by Shingo Sato.    At first I had to make the pattern.   The drawn lines are inserted with pleats. Then you have to make it in fabric. It's best to use cotton, then it's easy to see how the pleats are going to bee.   The challenge afterwords was to make the collar integrated instead. This is how it was supposed to be, but it was a bit tricky.

I'm a bit crazy when it comes to fabric... 😆 This is a fabric I won in a sewing competition, and decided to make a blouse. I have used the same pattern for my  Music Blouse  earlier. At first, I made the inserts at the upper front panels,  and then stitched it together with the lower panels.  The double layer for the buttons are stitched in place. The back-panels are stitched together with the pleats in place.  The collare and the collar-stand are attatched  to the blouse. The sleeves are attatched,  and the button-holes and buttons are sewn. The blouse is based on BurdaStyle pattern #105 04/2018

Girl's favorite Jacket!  Scuba is a great fabric for a jacket.  All the pieces are cut and ready to stitch together. I have iron vliseline for the front- and back facing, and also for the pocket-welt.   I started with sewing the welt to the marked pocket line. I stitched the pocket parts to the front line as well. Then I cut the hole to drag the pockets part through. The pockets are stitched together. I stitched the zipper and the neckband in place. Then I stitched the facing before stitching the hem in place. The sleeves with the cuffs are stitched in place. I decided to change the zipper puller to a nicer one. The gils is very happy with her new jacket :) Pattern from BurdaStyle Kids 03/2023

I made a shirt with short sleeves for this Superboy. This is great for holiday and for a boat-trip :) All the parts are cut out, and I had to iron vliseline under one of the collar, and the button-stand. I have tried to match the pattern with the front pocket and at the front parts as well.  The shirt has only a collar without collar-stand, so it's easy to sew. I found some shirt-buttons that was a great match. The boy was very happy with his new shirt :) Ottobre pattern

  This fabric really catched my eye! I found it in a local shop in my home town, and it has just arrived the day before. I love to make dresses, so I found a pattern I haven't tried before. I had to cut the front part on the right side. I marked with stitches where the pleats are going to bee.  The pleats are stitched in place. The darts are stitched at the back penels. The side seams for the upper part are stitched together, and the side seams for the skirt are stitched tohether. This is the whole skirt. The top is stitched to the skirt, and the invisible zipper are stitched in place. I made cuffs for the sleeves instead of hemming them.  I found some nice buttons in my stash that fits very well. The dress is finished and I'm very pleased with the result :) I do not like to wear a narrow neck so I left the upper-part a bit open. BurdaStyle pattern #102 11/2022
