I love Turquoise 💙

Linen is a fabulous fabric for sewing! This is linen/cotton with stretch and it's wonderful to wear. I found a pattern that I have made earlier when I made  a Dress for a Friend  with two different fabric. This time I wanted to make it in a plain color. I have sewn the front panels together. The darts and the zipper at the back are in place. The short sleeve hem and the hem are hand-stitched. I made a belt of the same fabric.   I'm happy how the dress turned out :) BurdaStyle 05/2008

Jersey Dress for a Sweetie 💕

I made an easy jersey dress of a nice fabric that our granddaughter chose. It's a top with short sleeves and a gathering skirt.  She was wearing the dress when they had a photographer at school. BurdaStyle pattern #132 01/2020

Blouse with Peter Pan Collar!

Image
I bought this lovely wool/silk fabric when I visited Tallinn last summer.  It's an eye-catching fabric I fell in love with it immediately! I decidet to make a blouse with short sleeves,  and I found this pattern in BurdaStyle Easy Fashion. The blouse has a Peter Pan collar, and all the parts are cut out of the fabric. The back panel, and the front panels have princess seams. I will recommend this kind of scissor to cut notches around the curves. The collar are stitched together and the facing. The short sleeve has to come. Burda Easy Fashion E/V 2015

Shift Dress with cap-sleeve👽

Stretch linen is great for sewing a shift dress💚  This is a pattern that I've tried a long time ago, and I wanted to give it another try. I have iron vliseline on the backside of the faciing and pocket flaps, and the bias for the armholes are cut. I stitched the inserts for the back and the zipper in place. The poct flaps are stitched in place. I have used lining for the inner pockets. The side panels are stitched in place. I have stitched the side seams. I hand stitched the hem for the cap-sleeve, and sew buttons as decoration in front. The dress has a split at the back. BurdaStyle Special 12/1991
