Baby's Dress & Hat!

This is a nice pattern from an old Burda Special that I have made once before,
but dress pattern can be used over and over again.

This is the upper parts for the dress.

I have cut out facing for the neck, and short sleeves.

The shoulders and the side seams are stitched together.

The facing around the neck is stitched in place.
I also made a seam close to the seam line on the facing so it should stay in place.

The top has two pleats at the front for the belt.

The skirt are gathered at the waist to fit the top.

The belt-straps are stitched in place with the pleats.

The dress is finished.

I only miss the buttons at the back.

I found the pattern in Burda Special 1997

Since I had a bit left of the cotton that I have used for the skirt,
I had enough to make a hat.

There are 5 parts to be stitched together for the head.

I had to iron the seams very well.

The hat-brim are stitched in place.

I also made a hat of linen, as lining for the hat.

This pattern is from the same magazine as for the dress.
