Japanese inspired Dress ๐Ÿˆบ

This is a pattern I have tried a while ago, but wanted to give it a new try.
I love colorful fabric and found this in a local store in my home town.
It's a sweatshirt fabric and I have used it together with black courtelle jersey that is quite steady.
And it became my Birthday Dress!๐Ÿงก

It's a crazy fabric, but that's what I like ๐Ÿ˜„

I had to cut the neck band in a double layer, and one with vliseline as well.

I stitched the invisible zipper in place before I added the neck-band,
but then I had to use hooks at the top of the back neck-band.

After I stitched the neck-band in place, I could stitch the gathered front to the side panel.

I'm ready for celebrating! ๐ŸŽ‰

The sleeves are 3/4 long and a bit wide, but they are great.

The dress has a split at the left side in front,
and that makes it easier to move :)

I have used 2 "diamond" hooks on top of the zipper.
