Dress with Square Neck 💟

Image
Hooray - it's our National Day the 17th. of May! I'm wearing my newest dress I made during the weekend. I have used cotton poplin and I love the orange flowers! I like the square neck and the gathering at the back. It's comfortable to wear and it's great with the tie at the waist. BurdaStyle pattern #107 05/2021

Denim & White Origami!

Image
Jacket with two different Sleeves! This is an origami techniquie that I have used both for sleeves and a body. You can use the pleats up-folded up like here or down-folded, so there are two different choices. This is the pattern on the right side, - and on the wrong side. The pattern is folded up and cut with 0,5 cm seams. The pattern is folded on the fabric, and then sewn one fold at the time. To make a two different color sleeve you have to sew the fabric toghether first  so you know where the pattern should be. This is the wrong side when the pattern is folded.  The sleeve is ready to be sewn toghether. Both sleeves is finished, and I have used the same pattern. I made the front with a pocket for the jacket.  The sleeves are sewn toghether. Collar has to come. Jacket is finished and I think is will be nice to use when the weather is getting warmer! It's a vintage pattern from Miss B 02/1992.

T-shirt is a "Must have" for a Kids! It's always nice sewing for kids, and to see how Happy they are  when they get new garments 😄 I've made an easy T-shirt for the boy and a V-neck shirt with sleeves for the girl. Jersey is perfect to use for any occasion! Ottobre pattern 2017

Refashion with Stripes!

Image
Refashion is a lot of FUN 😄 Sometimes I just have to "clean up" in my wardrobe, and then I always find garments that I haven't been wearing for a long time. Then it's time to give them a "New Life"! I found a blue tank top and a sweater with stripes and thought they could  be a good match together. The sweater was great for a skirt, and I kept the sleeves.  I only made them shorter and gathered them a bit at the shoulders.  A dress with pockets is nice, so I cut curves and made pockets for the front part. At first I made small pleats at the front skirt panel, but then it wasn't so good so I ripped them apart and made it without the pleats. I missed a pop-up color, so I found a lemon stretch jersey for the waistline.  I also made a litte yellow collar for the top. Then it's a perfect dress for spring, when the weather is getting warmer ☼
