Ellen's Sewing Passion

Since I had a piece left of this lovely flowerful fabric  I decided to make a dress for this Princess! 👸 She loves when I'm making clothes for her, and mostly she likes to wear a dress. Luckily I had enough fabric! I have used an easy pattern from Ottobre kids. The skirt is gathered at the waist and sewn together with the top. I chose to use yellow ribb around the neck and as cuffs for the sleeves. I had to make a seam at the back part in lack of fabric. Ottobre kids pattern.  

This is a smart pattern from Ottobre kids where the shoulders are sewn together with the sleeves. It's a great shirt for playing ✅ You can see the shoulder seam connected to the sleeve. I chose to use a green pop-up color around the neck. Ottobre Kids 03/2021

Who doesn't need a wool jacket this time of year! ⛄ I have used knitted wool so the jacket is very warm and doesn't need any lining. It's perfect to use under the raincoat as well, or when the spring is coming! The seams are sewn on the right side of the fabric, so it's more like decoration. The sleeves are very long because they should be folded up. I have only used 1cm hem for the sleeves. The zipper is sewn all the way up to the hoodie. The pockets are zig-zagged to the front parts, only the pocket opening is sewn with a little seam. I'm so Happy how the jacket turned out! BurdaStyle pattern #140 13/2012

  A sweater with long sleeves is great to wear for a young boy! I found a piece yellow jersey to combind with the stripes. As a small detail I have used a yellow pencil button for the zipper 😊   The pattern is from Ottobre kids.

Printed fabric always catch my eyes! 👀 This is a cotton denim with stretch bougth at  Lysthuset.no  and I thought it would be great for a Dress with square neck that I made earlier. This time I had to sew a zipper at the back and my choice was to use an orange zipper that suits together with the orange printed faces. The shoulder straps are made of a double layer and that makes it stay very nicely at the square neck. The pieces are cut and ready to be sewn. I have to overlock the facing and the double straps before I stitch the pieces together at the seam line. The facing is stitched by hand afterwords.   Since the zipper are made of metal, I did sew a strap to cover the zipper line. A little selfie video 😊 BurdaStyle pattern 06/2021.

Heine Totland is a rockstar from our local area 🎵 He has had roles in musicals such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Mamma Mia! and Buddy Holly. He is attending in a norwegian TV-show Farmen kjendis  that starts next week. I made this shirt for him when he had a show together with his band  on our 50-years anniversary for our company 🎉 Photo: Svein Egil Økland   This is a litte movie from his performance on our celebration.

I'm looking forward to meet the spring with a green Adrienne top! This is one of my favorite patterns! I like the style and it gives a nice siluette with the narrow waistline and the great sleeves. It's easy to make with a rubberband at the shoulders and at the sleeve hem. It makes me happy to wear this top 😉 Pattern from Fridaypatterncompany. The pants is also easy to make with an invisible zipper at the left side. I chose to use heavy weight jersey that is very comfy to wear. BurdaStyle 03/2021
