Refashion with Red & Blue !

These two colors are fabulous together!

The checked jacket was a bit short for me, but anyway I thought it would be nice as a skirt :)

The wool dress was a little short too, but was a perferct match for the jacket.

I started with the top of the dress.

I wanted to make puffed sleeves, so I found a BurdaStyle pattern that I like.

I cut the sleeves out of the back-panel of the long jacket, made the pleats for the shoulders, and gathered the short sleeves to match the narrow checked sleeves.  

I decided to make pockets and cut the pockets out of the same long blue jacket.

The short sleeve-hem of the red dress was great to use as pocket opening.

Since I turned the jacket back-forward the buttons were at the back of the skirt.

I had to sew another piese to cover the neck-line. 

The hem of the jacket was perfect to use for the waist-line.
