Linen Vest & Skirt💛

This is a fabulous vest pattern that are button-up both in front and back :)
I chose to make it in linen, and had enough fabric for a skirt as well.

The vest has inserts both in front and back, so that was the first I started sewing.

I stitched the side together, and also the facing for the opening.

This is how it looks like withouth the lining.

I have used poplin as lining, and I had to make a lot of notches around the armholes.

I have turned one side of the vest after I have stitched the lining, only the hem is left.

I left an opening at the side seam, and then I could turn the vest
after stitching the hem to the lining.

The vest is finished, only the buttons are missing.

The BurdaStyle pattern is from the 90's.

I wanted to make a linen skirt as well.
I have made a Tulip Skirt of the same pattern earlier.

I stitched the inserts, and the front panels together.

Then I stitched the back panels together.

I stitched the lining in place,

before I stitched the invisible zipper at the back seam.

I decided to hand-stitch the hem.

I made a slit at the back seam.

I think I manage to meet the seam at the sides :)
